Funny what goes through your head at those times isn't it? I remember very calmly thinking "Geez, I hope I stop before I hit that wall. I really don't have time to be dealing with a body shop this week."

I laughed as I read your "almost crash" story. I, too, was out on Sunday morning. I was driving "relatively" slowly down a residential street. There was a roundabout just in front of me. I braked, but there was no was I was going to stop or make the tight roundabout turn. My only option was to jump the curb and miss the light pole. Like you, it was all in slow motion. I remember thinking "man, this would be embarrassing to knock over a light pole in my own neighborhood." Anyway, I jumped the curb, missed the pole, and just kept on driving like nothing had happened. Life is good.

Have fun an Canada, aye! -doug
