Two from the road

Here are a couple of grab shots I found after finishing up with my morning shoots in Louisville, Kentucky. The Waffle House was somewhere inbetween Louisville and Lexington, across the street from where I was stocking up on peanut butter M&Ms. I tried to give it a little bit of a faded Ektachrome look in Photoshop. The McDonalds arches are peeking over the roof of the building next door to my hotel tonight — like it’s about to move in on the Waffle House’s territory.

Holy crap batman! The Waffle House shot is wonderful documentary stuff. But the Micki-D’s arches over the roof is super-duper tasty stuff. I’ve been trying for a while now to get a cool “Mc-D’s arches over something.” You beat me to the punch. Nice!
Have a dandy trip. Looking forward to seeing many more pics. Any beer documentary stuff on this trip?

Ah, the Waffle House. Now I’m hungry.

Sorry to both of you — for the hunger pangs and the punch-beating. I took a pre-dawn version of the arches this morning when the sign was lit but haven’t downloaded it yet. I think it would be great to have day and night versions but the windows were rain-spattered this morning and probably didn’t do anything to enhance my image clarity. Oh, well. I’ll be back at that same hotel on Sunday — maybe I can get the same room… or one floor above so the arches would appear to be rising.
Oh, and yes, Doug. Plenty of beer documentary work going on. Stay tuned!
